Born Nov. 12, 1876 in Kansas; died in Burlington, Iowa after being struck by a car.

Two marriages: John Jarvis and to a J.R. Cummings. That J.R. Cummings supposedly died in 1933, but no other information about him and his lineage is known to this contributor at this time.

The Marguerite Cummings that is buried with Claudia may be a daughter of that second marriage. Have found very little solid information on Marguerite. An online obituary notice in the Burlington Iowa Hawk Eye provided no family information.

Any clarifications would be greatly appreciated.

Sister Of Frairfield Man Fatally Injured

A sister of Dr. F. S. Bonnell, Fairfield, passed away in the Burlington hospital about 3 p.m. yesterday from injuries she received when she was hit by a car at a Burlington crossing a few hours earlier.

She is Mrs. Claudia Cummings, 73, who is well known by many Fairfield residents.

Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Burlington. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.

Mrs. Cummings was hit by a car yesterday morning driven by a 17-year-old youth. Police said the impact hurled the woman 60 feet. She was rushed to the Burlington hospital where she passed away yesterday afternoon.
