Visitation will be from 9-10:00 Monday, March 1, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS with Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Girard Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Donations to Immanual Baptist Church, Independence, MO.
Alta was born October 12, 1916, in Girard, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Luther Rex Barlow, brothers Earl and Raymond Murdock, and a sister Letha Bennefeld. Survivors include her daughters LaWanna C. Wills, Reta F. Vaughn, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
