Mrs. Lillie Cummings, 82, town of Antigo resident for the past 18 years and a Langlade county resident since 1905, died early today after a four month illness.

Mrs. Cummings was born June 9, 1881, at Wrightstown, Wis.,the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fordyce Phillips. On March 26, 1901, she was married at Greenleaf, Wis., to Byron Cummings. The couple operated a farm in the town of Rolling for 41 years prior to retirement in 1946.

Surviving are four daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. Harold (Mary) Meverden, Mrs. Gertrude hitz, Mrs. Frank (Edna) Lenzner, and Edward of Antigo, Mrs. Charles (Goldie) Roberts of Arkdale, Wis., Victor of Martinsburg, O., and Melvin of Birnamwood.

Also surviving are 40 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband died Jan. 10, 1952. A daughter, Mrs. Alberta Techlin, died Feb. 6 of this year, and a brother Bert died in 1934.

Mrs. Cummings was a member of the United Church of Christ where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Milton Petzold will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.

Friends may call at the McCandless-Zobel and Bradley funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday until 10:30 a.m. Saturday and then at the church from 11 a.m. until time of services.
