ANN MARIE HARSHMAN Age 92 years old, resident of Banning Estates in Banning, CA for 26 years, passed away due to natural causes on April 16, 2011 in the company of her family at the Emeritus-Broadhurst (an assisted living facility) in Westminster, CA. She had moved there in Feb. 2011 with her husband of 41 years, Glenn W. Harshman. Ann was well-liked by all who came to know her, whether it be strangers she met while RVing or her neighbors with whom she participated in community activities. She loved to play cards and was a regular at Bingo and enjoyed the dances and social activities at Banning Estates. She and Glenn took many cruises to Mexico and the Caribbean. During the last year of her time with us, Ann expressed how fortunate she was to have the attentive and loving care provided by the staff of VNA-IC, Hospice and Companion Hospice (L.A. County). Ann is survived by her husband, Glenn W. Harshman; son, James Fasano of Bend, OR; granddaughter, Robin Fasano of Tucson, AZ; grandson, Chris Fasano of Ross, CA; great-grandson, Nathan Fasano of Ross, CA; sister, Margaret Wheeler of Kokomo, IN; niece, Dian Becktold of Frankfort, IN; stepdaughter, Patricia Harshman of Long Beach, CA; special friend, Jane Dundas of Long Beach, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Charles Lemmo.
Interment will take place on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA. At Ann's request no memorial service will take place. Celebration of Life gathering for Ann will be held at the Banning Estate Community Center, 3800 West Wilson on Wed., May 18, 2011 from 12-3pm.
Interment will take place on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA. At Ann's request no memorial service will take place. Celebration of Life gathering for Ann will be held at the Banning Estate Community Center, 3800 West Wilson on Wed., May 18, 2011 from 12-3pm.
