CHESTER "CHET" BROWN
June 17, 1917 - October 5, 2001 Chet Brown lived in Forks, WA for most of his youth until he graduated from high school. After moving from the Olympic Peninsula to Tacoma, he worked for Howard Ladder Company in Kent, WA until his retirement. Chet was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys. He is survived by four children: his sons Jim, Paul and Robert, and his daughter Irene. Chet was also a father figure to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed spending summers with them camping on the coast at Kalaloch or salmon fishing at Westport. He was a humble and unselfish man and put the needs of his family before his own. Thank you, Grandpa, for always being there when we needed you the most. He was deeply loved and will be in our hearts and greatly missed by all who knew him. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2001 at 1:30 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Tacoma, WA 98499.
