ALLTON - Ralph E. Allton, 61, 5140 Illinois St., Loves Park, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 1976, in SwedishAmerican Hospital after a brief illness. Born Feb. 17, 1915, in Circleville, Ohio, son of Rev. and Mrs. Charles C. Allton.

Lived 30 years in Loves Park and Rockford area. Married the former Dorothy I. Banks in Belvidere, July 3, 1948.

Employed as a salesman by Benson Swim World four years. Veteran of World War II, in the Navy. He was a former Loves Park alderman and precinct committeeman and also a former Winnebago County Sheriff's deputy. Member of Cherry Valley Lodge, AF and AM, Freeport Consistory, and Medinah Shrine.

Survivors include his widow, Dorothy; a daughter, Lisa, at home; three sons, Charles R., Loves Park, Gregory and Douglas, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Grace Woods, of Ohio; five brothers, Clifford, of Colorado, Raymond, Morris, Glen, and Wilbur, all of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, in DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME, 401 River Lane with Rev. Dr. O. Garfield Beckstrand, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial in Flora Cemetery. No visitation. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 12 noon Wednesday to service time.
