Funeral for J. W. Baird Tuesday
Was Brother-In-Law of Bryan; Formerly Connected With Y. M.

Funeral services for James William Baird, 80, brother-in-law of Govenor Charles W. Bryan, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home, 2137 South Forty-eighth street, Rev. C. H. Walcott officiating. Interment will take place in Wyuka cemetery.

Mr. Baird, who had been an invalid for nearly twenty years, died at 2:20 o'clock Sunday morning at the home. He was born on July 4, 1852, at Finley, O., but spent his early childhood and youth at Salem, Ill. He was married to Frances Bryan Millson, a sister of W. J. and Charles W. Bryan, in 1893.

After coming to Lincoln, he was associated with the central Y. M. C. A. and was associated with the Normal Methodist church, taking an active interest in the Sunday school organization and assisting with the musical program.

Surviving are his wife, two step-children, Laura B. Spangler and William B. Millson, both of Lincoln, a grandson Francis B. Millson and two sisters Mrs. Ellen Young of Salem, Ill. and Mrs. Mary Whittaker of Paint Rock, Ala.

The body is at Troyer's mortuary.

Pallbearers will be C. S. Mahaffer, George Krausbaar, A. F. Fitzsimmons, Dr. Pae Buchanan, Harry G. Mahannah, C. E. Ager, W. A. Luke and Frank Thompson.
