--Emil Berlin, 91, Walworth, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Willliams Bay Care Center, Williams Bay.

He was born May 30, 1912, in Palatine, Ill., the son of Peter and Sophie Rhode [sic] Berlin.

He married Dorothy Sterner March 21, 1952, in Des Plaines, Ill.

He owned and operated a farm feed supply and trucking business for many years.

He had been involved in farming his entire life. Following his retirement he enjoyed going to auctions and fixing up older farms.

He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Walworth, the Harvard Moose Lodge, and the Moose Senior Citizens Club and the Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Don Berlin, Hebron, Ill.; two daughters, Phyllis Cardenas, LaGrange, Ill., and Mary McCally, Las Vegas; two step-children, Ken Leiviska and Nancy Leiviska, both in California; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane; six brothers; and seven sisters.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Toynton's Walworth Funeral Home. The Rev. John Hogue officiated. Burial was in Palatine.

The family suggested memorials to the Immanuel United Church of Christ.
