Anna Hutchins Rites Held Monday
Anna Mae Hutchins was born July 16, 1883, the daughter of Henry and Eva Zerbe, and died at her home near Central City, December 29, at the age of 79 years, six months and 14 days.
She was united in marriage to Guy Hutchins January 1, 1903. Mr. Hutchins preceded her in death August 1, 1946 and one son, Lawrence Guy, died October 29, 1924.
Mrs. Hutchins is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Minor (Lucille) Baty of Coggon and Miss Mildred Hutchins of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Louie of Marion and Fay of Central City; three sisters, Mrs. George (Mary) Bateman of Marion, Mrs. John (Clara) McMaster of Bolder Park, California, and Mrs. Dessie Baumgardner of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; one brother, Eugene Zerba of Quasqueton; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hutchins was a member of the Federated church in Central City and had been a resident of Linn county all her life.
Memorial services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Durham officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. Pall bearers were Angus McLeod, Benjamin O'Meara, Ralph DuBois, Clarke Mason, Harold Christensen and Glen Minor.
Arrangements were made by the Passmore funeral home.
