He married Susannah Lydia LaPorte in about 1801 in Jefferson Co, Ohio.

A gravestone marker was erected in 1900 on Cades Hollow Road, in Sect. 26 of Fountain County, Indiana. It merely states "IN MEMORY OF PETER BABB'S BURYING GROUND 1826 to 1849"
