Stanley P. Moe, 97, Scandia, died Oct. 6, 1997, at the Republic County Hospital Long Term Care in Belleville. He was born Jan. 8, 1900, at Scandia. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Amana Lutheran church and Lebanon Masonic Lodge, both of Scandia, and the Moose Lodge of Concordia. He was a lifetime resident of Scandia.
His wife, Irene, died March 3, 1997.
Survivors include four grandchildren. Renee Speltz and husband Nicholas of Clay Center and their children, Nichole Littel and husband Jeff, Katrina and Camilla Speltz; Reta Cailteux and husband Kevin of Overland Park and their children Erica and Jeff Cailteux; Rachelle Hower and son Cote Hower of Concordia; Douglas Moe and children Heather, Christopher and Garrett Moe, Concordia; and his daughter-in-law, Roberta Link of Aurora.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 10, at the Amana Lutheran church in Scandia, with Pastor Carol Willadsen officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Scandia, with special graveside services by the Masonic Lodge. Friends may call until 9 this evening and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, at the Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, 1104 20th Street, Belleville. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
