Scandia Farmer Takes Own Life
A. R. Moe, 30, farmer at Scandia, was found dead Friday evening at the Albert Moe farm near Scandia after he had taken his own life.
Bill Moe, who has been handling chores at the Albert Moe farm during the latter’s absence discovered the deceased in his car, which was parked on the south side of the barn. His death, declared a suicide, was the result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Funeral services for Moe, who had lived all his life at Scandia, were held there yesterday at Hampton-Danielson funeral chapel and at the Methodist church, and interment was made in Riverview cemetery.
Surviving him are his widow and son, Alvin; a sister, Edna Moe of Lincoln, Neb.; and four brothers Donald of Herington, and Stanley, Theodore and Ralph of Scandia.
