ZENIA PAULINE STOFER
Zenia Pauline Moe Stofer, daughter of Anna and Paul Moe, was born on October 7, 1880 at the farm home north of Scandia, and passed away July 9, 1963, at her home in Scandia at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 2 days, after a lingering illness.
She was united in marriage to Jacob R. Stofer, September 26, 1900. They made their home on a farm north of Scandia until January 1925 when they moved into Scandia.
To this union two sons were born; Jacob Paul and Louis Fredrick. Her husband passed away in 1950.
Mrs. Stofer was a member of the Methodist church of Scandia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant sister, Pauline and two brothers, Rudolph and Fred.
She is survived by her two sons, Jake Stofer, wife and grandson Gordon, of Lynwood, Calif., Louis Stofer and wife of Beloit and one brother Albert Moe, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stofer will be sadly missed in the home and the community because of her constant devotion to family and friends. Her kindness and patience, her generous hospitality, and her untiring efforts for others were respected and admired by all who knew her. Because of her uncomplaining nature and her strong faith in God she met her lifetime of responsibilities, and her last years of illness with poise and courage. Thus ends a full, well-lived life which is an example of the high calling of motherhood.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. Theodore Duell Friday afternoon, July 12, 1963, at the Methodist church. Interment was in Riverview cemetery. Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
