Coleman, Cleo Rogene Koger ~ Mrs. Rogene Coleman Age 84, Born in Caddo Mills, Texas, died Thursday morning, September 3, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on November 24, 1924, to Alfred and Bammie Mae Koger, attended Caddo Mills High School, and married Charles Edwin Coleman on September 25, 1948. She was first and foremost Charles's "Sweetheart" and he, hers. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two brothers, Harlis R. Koger, and Dennis "Bud" Koger; and sister, Faye Copeland. She was a devoted mother to her four children, Teresa Coleman Legler, Garland; Patricia Lynn Coleman, Garland; Robert Charles Coleman, Rowlett; and James Edwin Coleman, Midlothian; proud grandmother of Lindsay Towell Shuttlesworth, Richardson; Charles David Legler, Sachse; Katie Coleman Longley, Abilene; Hayley Anne Webb, Abilene; Matthew Gregory Coleman, and Christopher James Coleman, both of Rowlett; and doting great grandmother of Braden David Shuttlesworth, Richardson; and Coleman Ward Longley, Abilene. She was a faithful member of Garland Road Church of Christ, and later, Highland Oaks and Easton Road Churches of Christ, and a valued employee of McShan's Florist for twenty seven years. She is also survived by four sisters, Opal Gavin, Warren, Arkansas; Gladys Owens, Greenville; Dorothy Thompson, Mesquite; and Joe Ann Tate, Stephenville. Visitation with family will be Friday at Sparkman-Crane from 6 to 8 P.M. Services in the Chapel of Sparkman Crane Funeral Home will be Saturday at 2 P.M. and interment will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park. In honor of Rogene's beautiful life, the family requests that you brighten an elderly friend's day with a call or a visit and/or make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Dallas Chapter, 4144 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 750, Dallas, TX 75204.
