He was employed at Crane Brothers Potato Farms in Exeter for over 30 years. Carroll also owned and operated Buswell Dry Beans since 1973. He was a life member of the Corinth Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lisbeth (Denkewitz) Buswell of Corinth; 2 daughters, Carol Ann and husband Jerry Brayson of Exeter and Judith and husband Mark Hallenbeck of Pensacola, FL; a son Mark and wife Hope Buswell of Corinth; a brother, Norman and wife Charlotte Buswell of Corinth; his sister and special brother-in-law, Velma and Lewis Leavitt of Exeter; and sister, Theo Lougee of Corinth; 7 grandchildren, Karyn Chadbourne, Patric and Paula Brayson, Stephanie and Christopher Hallenbeck, Tyson and Gabriel Buswell; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Malcolm Buswell.
