Obituary.
PETERSON.
John Adolph Peterson, born June 23, 1839, in Ostergotland Province, Sweden, came to the United States in 1880. Settled in Porter county, Indiana, where he remained until November, 1904, when, with his wife and two of his sons, Gottlieb and Seth, he removed to Murfreesboro, Tenn., going to the latter place for the benefit of his health, which had been failing for several years. He died at his home, near Murfreesboro, March 23d, 1905, Bright's disease being the direct cause of death.

At the age of 25 he was united in marriage to Emily Westerberg, who died two years later. To this union was born one daughter, now Mrs. Chas. Gustafson, of Alameda, Calif.

On Sept. 18, 1870, he married Ida Yerling, the surviving widow. To this union were born four sons, Gottlieb, Paul, Eric and Seth, all of whom survive him.

At an early age he was converted to christianity, and was ever since a devoted christian.

He was a member of the Swedish Mission church at Chesterton, Ind.

He was ever a most loving and devoted husband and father.

Besides his immediate family, he leaves a large number of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss, he being a brother of Oscar S. Peterson and an uncle of Chas. A. and O. W. Peterson, of this place.
