George Hibma's Father was the only family member who immigrated to the United States . George Hibma was my foster father. George Hibma was sent to the Pacific to fight in the US Army during WW2. George Hibma lost many family members who were in the Netherlands to the Nazi. A lot of family pictures, documents and church records were destroy by the Nazis. George Hibma was very proud of me joining the US Air Force. He was a quiet man, closed to his siblings . I do remembered them visiting our house in Harvey, Illinois . He never talk about his parents or any relative left behind in the Netherlands . I do believe his family situation caused George Hibma to be a foster parent ..
