26 years, 5 months, 13 days

David E. Pritchard, the subject of this notice, who died at the residence of his mother, in Marshall, on Thursday last, May 13, of malarial fever, was born and raised in this place. He was an exemplary young man, loved and respected by all who knew him.

He was married December 17, last, to Elizabeth G. McPheeters, and after five months of happiness and joy together, she is called upon to mourn his loss; but he has simply gone on a little while before her, and on that beautiful shore they will meet again.

David was a member of the M. E. church, and was also a member of the Knights of Pythaias of this place, the Masonic order of York, and the Clark County Guards. His funeral services took place at York, and were conducted by the K of P., assisted by the militia and the York Masons. Rev. W. H. McVey and Rev. L. J. Duncan performed the services.
