William Edward Blackmore

William "Bill" Edward Blackmore Jr., Boulder, Colo., died August 25 at St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver.

Blackmore was born on July 4, 1942 in Alexandria, Vir. as the son of W. Edward Blackmore and Edna May Watt.

Blackmore was a graduate in graphic arts from Prince George's Community College in Maryland and married Ruth Eloise Matteson in 1968. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era.

He was a resident of Boulder since 1978.

Blackmore is survived by his wife Ruth of Boulder; step-mother Francis Harris of Falls Church, Vir.; son Billy Blackmore of Boulder; and sister Sherry Benson of Dunkirk, Maryland.

Services for Blackmore were held on August 29 at Crist Mortuary in Boulder and on August 31 with grave side services at the Lusk Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Golden Buffalo Scholarship Fund for the Men's and Women's Golf Program, University of Colorado, P.O. Box 369, Boulder, Colo. 80309-0369.
