He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Colorado State University and taught and coached at Rifle High School, where he contributed to many achievements in the Ag Program and in co-coaching the 1973 state football championship team.
He married Becky Dawson on September 27, 1973 and they had three children, Jim Bob, Jennifer and Jack.
Bob enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He liked the ranching lifestyle of caring for his cattle, haying and his fertilizer business.
Bob is survived by his wife Becky, children, Jim Bob and Laurel Bloomfield, Jennifer and Jared Street, and Jack and Kristen Bloomfield, mother Margaret Bloomfield, brother and sister-in-law Hartley and Lynn Bloomfield, grandchildren Kade and Rachel Street and many other extended family members.
Services will be held Thursday, January 24, at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rifle.
