Floyd Cope Copenhaver,57,was dead on arrival to a Sioux City Hospital early Saturday morning after suffering a coronary heart attack while driving.Dr.Thomas L.Coriden Woodbury County Medical Examiner said Mr.Copenhaver was driving on Jenning Street when he suffered a heart attack.His car struck a parked car. Mr.Copenhaver was born in Ponca,Nebraska on March 26,1917 to James Frank and Clara (Day)Copenhaver,he moved to Sioux City as a young child with his family.He married Adeline Christiansen in 1944 in Sioux City,Iowa.He was employed by General Tire Co.in Sioux City for more then 32 years. Survivors include his wife and one son Thomas of Sioux City and a daughter,Mrs.Gloria James of Sioux City;two brothers; Darrell of Des Moines,Delbert of Chariton,Iowa and brother Sidney(Copenhaver)Wagner of McCook Lake,So.Dakota;two sisters;Mrs.Patrick(Gladys)Hute of Omaha,Neb.,Mrs.Clarence(Lena)Meier of Sioux City.;two grandchildren.He preceded in death by his parents;sisters,Florence,Ella,Maire Gerdes;two brothers,John C. and Jack Cecil.
