Richard "Dick Dale Clark, 57, of Lyons went to be with his Lord and Savior Dec. 25, 2001 at his home.
He was born July 27, 1944 in Ionia, the son of Frederick W. and Ruth A.(Townsend) Clark. He married Barbara J. Packard Jan. 27, 1984 in Ionia.
He was a graduate of Lyons High School in 1962. He also pioneered an MS support group in Ionia County in 1985. He was a member of the North Plains Community Church. He enjoyed racing stock cars. He was known as a joker by friends and family. He was a prayer warrior.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Barbara of Lyons; his step-father and mother, Elwyne and Ruth Cotton of Ionia; his son, Richard A. (Karen) Clark of Greenville; his daughters, Terri Lynn McKellips of Grand Rapids, Jennifer (Cary) Sawtell of Lyons, Deborah (Billy) Codling of Sheridan and Ruth Christine (Bob Wagner of Indiana; one sister, Gayle (Ken) Ritenburgh of Ionia; 14 grandchildren; many beloved step-children and step-grand children; foster son, Kevin Schultz of Lowell; beloved caregiver, Melissa Fryman of Muir and junior caregiver Katelyn Mooney of Muir; and many friends that also had MS.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation will befrom 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
