Walter Jackson Barnard, Sr., 75 of Waycross passed away Friday at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Cook County, Ga., the son of Charles Jackson and Lola Lee Davis Barnard. He was a pipe fitter for Lang mechanical and a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie L., six children; Walter, Jr., Timmy, Rhonda, Elaine, Tina, Melissa; two step-daughters; Tonya & Heidi, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two sisters; Ann & Deloris; brother Charles and brother-in-law; Melvin.
Graveside services were held May 2, 2011 in Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Winston Baker officiating.
