Mr. Kaylor had been in failing health a year and had been in the hospital a week.
He was a self-employed farmer.
Mr. Kaylor was born April 11, 1901, at Kaylor’s Park near Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Quince and Annie Lee Bowman Kaylor.
He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and had 46 hears of perfect attendance as a Ruritan. He was a former member of the Port Republic club and was a charter member of the Mount Crawford Ruritans.
On Oct. 10, 1929, he married the former Lula Firebaugh, who died this past May 25.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Kaylor Blankenship of Mount Crawford, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James United Methodist Church in Pleasant Valley by the Rev. Wayne Richman. Burial will be in Mount Crawford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral home in Harrisonburg. Friends also may call at Mrs. Blankenship’s home at other times.
The family said that flowers are welcome but that donations may be made to the Bridgewater Rescue Squad or the donor’s favorite charity.
