Ellen Jane Kinsinger Hicks, age 88, of Millcreek, passed away 29 Sept 2008. She was born in Erie, 22 Feb 1920, a daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche Parks Kinsinger. Ellen was very active for many years in the Christian Women's Club teaching their home Bible Study classed. She loved gardening, especially flowers which she enjoyed sharing with her family and friends. Ellen was also an avid bird watcher and loved to read. She loved spending time with her friends and their children and loved life in general. Ellen and her husband Carl, grew up attending the Gospel Tabernacle of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on West 11th Street, and were members for many years.Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters; Marjorie June Kinsinger and Betty Jean Kinsinger. Ellen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carl Hicks; her brothers John Kinsinger, of Erie and Rev Howard Kinsinger of Fort Myers, Florida.
