Oran - Henry W. Abernathy, 73 years old, of rural Oran died Friday in a Cape Girardeau hospital.
Survivors are his wife, Levadie; three sons, Johnnie Abernathy, Leroy Abernathy and Bobbie Abernathy; seven daughters, Mrs. Julius Carver, Mrs. Hub Denton, Mrs. Montgomery Thomas, Mrs. Burl Clark, Mrs. Avery Oliver, Mrs. Walter Farmer and Mrs. Franklin Ellsworth; a brother, Harry Abernathy; five sisters, Mrs. Earl Hamlyn, Mrs. Clarence Douglas, Mrs. Kent Lashley, Mrs. Dillard Rose and Mrs. Bill Trentham; 33 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Jackson Funeral Home is Sikeston.
