Ruby was the youngest of 9 children. She and my dad were married 60 plus years. She worked at Penneys in Augusta for years on Broad St. She went back and got her GED in her 50's to get a job at the Medical College of Georgia and even took typing courses to get a promotion. She loved her Church and her friends which she had many. She was a great cook and love to have big family meals and get her family together. She had a hard life but she never complained. I have known her to sit all night in a sick room with someone she hardly knew because she loved people.
