She was born in Oil City, Oct. 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Skrobat Schossler.
She attended Assumption B.V.M. Parochial School and was a graduate of Oil City High School. She attended St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church and had been very active in parish activities.
She and her late husband were active with the PTO at both St. Joseph Grade School and Venango Christian High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Max P. Gabreski, who died on May 13, 1991.
She is survived by eight children, Paul and James Gabreski, both of Oil City, Karen Gabreski of California, Bridget Gabreski Zohlman of Woodbridge, Va., Brian Gabreski of South Hampton, John Gabreski of Gettysburg, Blase Gabreski of Mars and Ralph Gabreski of Erie; five
granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Ted (Ann) Marchibroda of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the St. Joseph Church Development Fund.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. Entombment was in the Bishop McManaman Memorial Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.
