Albert Lee McClammy, Sr., 80, of Pensacola, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006 at a local hospital.
Mr. McClammy was a native of Pensacola, lived and raised his family here. He was a World War II veteran, retired journeyman electrician, a member of Masonic Lodge 278, and had attended Olive Baptist Church.
Everyone who knew Albert knew that he was a very special man. Albert was a devoted husband and father to his wife LaNell; daughters Sheila White and Sharon Jackson (Charles) of Orlando; sons Albert Lee Jr. (Peggy), James Dennis (Karen), Kerry B. (Tracey) of Robertsdale, AL; sisters Sunnie (Buck) Ross of Enterprise, AL and Shirley Huggins of Crestview, FL. He was the beloved "Papa" to 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Papa's grandsons Jimmy White, Jr., Christopher McClammy, Robert Jackson, Justin McClammy, Lee McClammy III, and nephew LaDon Martin, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by PENSACOLA MEMORIAL GARDENS FUNERAL HOME.
