Lottie was one of six children of William Paul McKinley (1825-1894) and Mary Chandler (1847- ). When Lottie was fifteen, she was married to Sprague Corley, in Wallace County, Kansas. Her father and two of her brothers, Lewis and Fred, were angry about the marriage. On 03 May 1894, Fred McKinley murdered Sprague. Bill and Lewis McKinley were arrested for the murder and subsequently lynched by a mob of friends of the Corley family. Fred confessed to the crime, and he was tried and acquitted by the jury. Lottie and other family members went to Story County, Iowa, where her sister's husband had family. Lottie married Gola Rastus Drake about 1895, in Story County, Iowa. Three children of this marriage were: Olive Viola, Edmond Earl, and Cecil Ray. Lottie and Gola were divorced, and she married John W Mosey in Oklahoma. There were three children of this marriage also: Lyle V, Wayne Wesley, and Glenn F. Lottie died a few days before her seventy-sixth birthday.
