Murder victim. Joann and her 4-month-old son, Alex, were abducted from their home in Catasauqua, PA, and murdered in a rural wooded area near Germansville. The killer was Patricia Rorrer, the jealous ex-girlfriend of Joann's husband, Andrew. Joann was shot once, then the gun jammed. She was then beaten to death with the gun butt. It was impossible to tell whether Alex was killed as well or was simply left to die of exposure. Pat Rorrer received a sentence of life imprisonment for her crime.
