Mary was the wife of Wilbur Connolly - who died during the war. She never remarried and was never interested in another. He was her true love. They had no children.
This is my Aunt Mary -- "Auntie Mame." She was a wonderful giving woman. She lived all of her adult life in the home that she and Wilbur had shared. This home, at one point, was owned by his mother.
Birth record shows residence as 13 Sherman Street, Peabody, MA. 1910 census shows her living at 8 Sherman Street.
"Auntie Mame" loved to knit. Every Christmas you'd get a new hat and mitten set. And, every member of her family had at least one blanket that she'd knitted for you.
