Mr. Bartsch, born in Plattsburgh, NY, March 19, 1928, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008. He was a son of the late Emil A. and Bertha Adams Bartsch.
Mr. Bartsch was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church. He was a veteran and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Bartsch was a Fireman with the City of Columbia for 33 years.
Mr. Bartsch is survived by his wife, Madge E. Bartsch of Columbia; daughter, Amy Koon (David) of Columbia; son, Mark Bartsch (Robin) of Chapin; grandchildren, Adam Stone Leech of California and Rebecca Standridge (Corey) of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Zoey and Jacob Standridge of Lexington; sister, Mildred Bartsch of Columbia; brother, Charles Bartsch of Oklahoma.
Mr. Bartsch was predeceased by his son, Wayne Eargle Bartsch, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
