Edith Ann Brock Greer of Wilmington, NC, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at her residence.
She was born on August 8, 1930, in New Hanover County, the daughter of the late Rexford P. and Dorothy W. Brock. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wayne Greer Sr. in 2003.
Mrs. Greer retired from Vopak (division of Pakhoed) where she was an administrative assistant. She was a communicant at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three children, a son, J. Wayne Greer Jr. (Martha) and their child, granddaughter, Kara Elizabeth Greer, all of Wilmington; a son, Rexford B. Greer (Juanita) and their children, Nicole and Haylea, all of Wilmington; and a son, John Wolfe Greer of Wilmington, NC.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church by Dr. Frank Perry. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Evangelical Church Ash Garden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Keith, John Lowder, George Russ, Clayton Williams, Wes MaGee, Jay Howard, New Hanover County Sheriff Sid Causey, Chief Deputy Colonel Tom Parker and Clarence Hales.
