"Pioneer Cattleman Dies After Living in State 61 Years"
William Floyd Cline, 82, a resident of this district since 1869, died at the home of a son, William W. Cline, at Cutter at 8:35 o'clock last evening following a short illness.
The deceased, who was born in St. Joseph, Mo. April 18, 1848, had been in the cattle business in the Salt River and Tonto Basin districts for the past half century. For the past 15 years, he had made hi home with his son at Cutter.
During his 61 years as a resident of this district, the deceased made many friends and was known as one of the foremost pioneers of the state.
Surviving are two sons William W. Cline, Cutter, and Robert Cline, los Angeles; one brother, John Cline, Tonto Basin; one sister, Mrs. Dore Fredericks, Camp Verde; and six grandchildren, Wilmirth Cline, Mary Cline, Ruth Cline, Margaret Cline, Globe; Lois and Harold Edwards, El Paso and Robert Cline, Jr. of Los Angeles.
The remains are being held at the Jones Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced following the completion of details.
