James David Emmons, 49, of Parkersburg, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis, Ind.
A memorial service will be held at Parkersburg Christian Church with Reverend Randy Snelling officiating. Cremation rites were accorded.
James was born September 1, 1960, to Arnold and Hazel Emmons.
He was employed by Dee Drilling in Mt. Carmel. He was a member of Olney Eagles and Knight of Columbus. He was a very hard worker all of his life and enjoyed any type of outside work, especially gardening. He was a very devoted father and companion.
James is survived by one son, David Emmons, of Olney; twin daughters, Julianna and Jonalyn Emmons, of Olney; stepdaughter, Bridget Doan, of Paducah, Ky.; brothers, Arnold (Nola) Emmons, of Lancaster, and Russel (Diane) Emmons, of Calhoun; sisters, Jane (Frank) Saltsgaver, of Allendale, Elaine (Bill) Boyd, of Lawrenceville, and Tillie (Tom) Thrall, of Bennington. Jim also leaves his significant other, DeAnn Davis, of Parkersburg, plus several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Hazel Emmons, and one brother, Bill Emmons.
