Death Claims Mrs. William Austin; Funeral Saturday
Funeral services were held for Mrs. William Austin of Sauk Centre on Saturday, June 11, 1955 at the First Methodist church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. C. E. LeMasters officiating. Mrs. Harvey lLnge was the soloist, accompanied at the organ by Victor Sporleder. Internment was made in Oakland cemetery. Corrigan's Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Ralph Walters, Walter E. Johnson, Walter M. Johnson, Bud Upton, Oscar Sukke and Raymond McCracken.
Martha Killman Austin died at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 19 days at St. michael's hospital on Thrusday, June 9, 1955 at 10:45 p.m., following a brief illness of a week.
Martha Killman Austin was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Killmer , June 21, 1874 at Blue Earth. She received her education in Mound county, and on August 14, 1900, she was united in marriage to William Austin at Madelia, Minnesota.
She is survived by her husband, William, and the following children: Orville E. Austin, Los Angeles, Mrs. Lewis Schaub, (Dorothy), Los Angeles, Donald K. Austin, Sauk Centre, Ted Austin, St. Paul, and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Austin, St. Paul, Kilmer Austin, Sauk Centre, Jim Austin, St. Paul, Frances and Florence Austin, Sauk Centre, and Fred Austin.
Relatives that attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Olson, Mankato; Mrs. Walter Timmerman, Mrs. Goldie Ruters, Mrs. Vernon Hathaway, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Olson, all of Madelia; Mrs. Lewis Schaub, Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Austin, Jimmy Austin, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Austin, all from St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Austin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ceager, Good Center, and Mabel Eagers, Madelia.
