Mr. Irizarry was born February 12, 1923 in Puerto Rico to Juan Acevedo and Eugenia Irizarry.
He worked in Puerto Rico in the sugar cane fields. Mr. Irizarry enjoyed going to Spence's Bazaar, spending time with his family and listening to Christian music. He was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church of Dover.
Mr. Irizarry is survived by his brother, Miguel Acevedo and his wife Angelina Acevedo of Dover; nephews, Ernesto of Dover, Miguel of Dover, Antonio of Houston, TX, Johnny of Dover; nieces, Maria of Paterson, NJ, Noelia of Dover, Carmen of Dover and Nilda of Hartly, Roberto Torres of Puerto Rico, Hector Torres of Puerto Rico, Sonia Acevedo of Paterson, NJ, Antonia Torres of Florida, Geraldo Torres of Florida and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Monday May 9, 2011 at Victory Church, 2736 Forrest Avenue, Dover, DE. Friends may call from 10am to 12pm. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
