Ottis Gwindolene She was 82 years of age and a native of Jefferson County, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Elmer Gautney Jr.; and brothers, Cecil McNair, Nelson McNair and James McNair.Mrs. Gautney is survived by her son, Sonny Gautney and wife, Kathy, of Decatur; daughter, Betty Holt and husband, Don, of Florence; grandchildren, Steve Gautney, Sonya Gautney, Ralph Holt and Kenda Holt Rusevlyan; two step-grandchildren, Nick Letson and Michelle Hanks; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was a member of Killen United Methodist Church.The family will receive friends at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence today at 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in Elkins chapel, with the Rev. Leonard McDowell officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ralph Holt and Steve Gautney; John Rusevlyan, Mike Lack, Johnny West, Joseph Meyer, Larry Gautney Jr. and Bobby Gautney.Memorials are suggested to Killen United Methodist Church, Safeplace or a favorite charity.
