Glover-Susan Glover passed away about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her son O.S. Glover on Wadsworth Street after an illness of several years. She was born near Danville in Cumberland County, Maine, April 22, 1817, and was married to James Brookins, May 19, 1836. In 1850 the family came to this city and Mrs. Brookins was accompanied by five small children. She purchased a lot at the time and it was one of the first sales when the old City of Saginaw was first platted. At the time only three women were here. In 1852 the deceased united in marriage to O.L. Glover and four children blessed this union, all of whom are living. They are Mrs. Robert Carson of Morley; Mrs. Jerome Oliver of Holly; A.H. Glover of Omer and Oliver S. Glover with whom she lived for the past 15 years. Mrs. Helen Beach is the only child surviving from her first wedding. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren also survive. The diseased was a woman of a kind and loving manner and her life was crowded with acts of kindness. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, Rev. W. H. Gallagher officiating, and the interment will be in Brady Hill Cemetery.
