"On Sabbath morning, November 6th, in the full hope of a happy immortality, Emily Silliman, wife of Thomas Blagden of this city and daughter of Gold S. Silliman, Esq., of Brooklyn, New York. The friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from her late residence on New Jersey avenue, on Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock, without further notice."

Emily also had a daughter, Harriet Blagden (born c.1844), who was living with her aunt and step-mother, Laura (Silliman) Blagden, in the 1870 U.S. Census in Washington, DC.
