She was a lifelong resident of Starks and was very active member of First Baptist
Church of Starks where she served in several offices. Christine enjoyed crocheting,
and traveling, having visited the Holy Land four times as well as several group bus
trips.
Survivors include her four sons and one daughter-in-law; two daughters and one
son-in-law; one sister and husband of Dallas, Texas; twenty-one grandchildren; and
numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Simon Braneff; step-daughter,
Margaret Ruth Wales; siblings, Lenora Howard, Maureen Howard, Winfred Howard,
Wilfred Howard, Wesley Howard, Herbert Howard, James Willis Howard, Prentice Howard;
grandson, Shon Holden Braneff; and great-granddaughter, Christian Leigh Perkins.
Her funeral was Sunday, January 6, in First Baptist Church of Starks. The Rev. Glenn
Wagnon officiated. Burial followed in Clark Cemetery in Fields.
Services were under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.
