Mrs. Jennings was born in Bedford, Va. She had retired from the Virginian-Norfolk Western Railroad after 38 years. She was a charter member of Azalea Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Jackson Jennings; a son, Thomas M. Jennings of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Eula Ayers and Polly Pollard, both of Roanoke, and Mary Crist of Alexandria; and a brother, Jack Truxell of Charlotte.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Azalea Baptist Church by the Rev. Danny Owens. Burial will be private. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to the church's building fund.
