FRANK DAGGETT
DANFORTH - Frank Daggett, 72, died Sunday at a veterans hospital in Togus, following a long illness.
He was born in Danforth, Feb, 21, 1895, the son of Charles M. and Emily (Spinney) Daggett.
Mr. Daggett attended schools at Danforth and was a member of the Danforth Church of Christ.
He was a charter member of the Rec L. McKenney Post No. 45 of the American Legion and also a member of Hosford Barracks No. 749 of Houlton.
Mr. Daggett served with the 21st Engineers of the U.S. Army in France during World War One.
He was a former employee of the Maine State Highway Commission, retiring from the Highway Patrol in February of 1065.
Surviving are his widow, Lila Weeks Daggett of Calais; one son, Calvin (sic Alvin), also of Calais; two daughters, Miss Eureta Daggett of Calais and Mrs. Frances Beal of Beals Island; three brothers, Veal (sic Zeal) of Smyrna Mills, Charles W. of Gorham and Everett of San Antonio, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Opal Kelly of Merridin Conn., Miss Gail Daggett of New Your City, Miss Beryl Daggett of Bucksport, Mrs. Averill Lee of Butler, H.J., and Mrs. Madalyn Grass of Fairfield; five grandchildren and several nieces and mephews.
Friends may call at the Bartlett Funeral Home of Danforth on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home in Danforth.
Burial will be in a Danforth cemetery.
