Deceased Name: MARIAN J. MURDOCK

The funeral for Marian J. Murdock will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Attrell's Sherwood Chapel. She died in a Portland care center Tuesday of causes related to age. She was 86.

Mrs. Murdock, whose maiden name was Jones, was born on Jan. 2, 1905, in Beaverton. Following her marriage in 1923 to Lyman Murdock, they moved to Sherwood.

She had worked as a floor worker supervisor for the Portland Canning Co. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Her husband died in 1983. Surviving are daughters, Annabel Beecroft of Newberg and Beverly Grabatin of Orange, Calif.; sons, Lyman ''Bud'' of Warden, Wash., and Carl ''Ray'' of Sidney, Neb.; a brother, Charles Barry of Corvallis; sisters, Virginia Snyder of Sherwood and Helen Jones of Beaverton; 17 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Alzheimer's Disease Association.

Vault entombment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.
