Peckham, a carpenter, was a partner of George Gregg in the construction and repair business and the two men had been known for many years by area residents as the "Moravia Indians." The partners accepted any and all jobs in the building field from moving a house to building one. Born in Ledyard, Mr. Peckham went to Moravia at the age of 12 years.
He is survived by a sister, Miss Kathrina Peckham of Moravia, and a brother, Guy C. Peckham of Syracuse.
Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Saturday at the home with the Rev. Earl Barfoot of the Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Moravia.
