Wilbur William Schwartz, 82 years of the town of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Service for Wilbur will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Paul Stratman officiating. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton, Wisconsin. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post # 146.

Wilbur William was born on July 22, 1928 to Gustav and Eleanora (Drews) Schwartz in Burnett, Wisconsin. He served his country in the United States Army from 1951 – 1953. Wilbur was united in marriage to Helen M. Genrich on May 16, 1953 in Horicon.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He had been employed at Heling Implement. In 1959, he purchased the Pure/Union Oil Company which he operated until his retirement in 1970 due to health reasons. He was also a member of the Beaver Dam American Legion Post # 146 for over 40 years
He is survived by his daughter, Glenda (Michael) Guenther of Beaver Dam; grandson, Scott (Beth) Guenther and granddaughter, Megan Guenther; three great grandsons: Caleb and Joshua Guenther and Andrew Twardokus; and two sisters: Elmay Mericer of Madison and Bernice (Lloyd) Wegener of Horicon; three brothers: Gordon (Florine) Schwartz of Horicon, Harvey Gietzel of Horicon and Franklin Gietzel of Madison; sisters-in-law: Delores Gietzel of Beaver Dam, Ruth Gietzel of Waupun and Ruth Schwartz of Juneau; and special friends: Judi, Bud, Mac and Carl. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen in 1992, two sisters: Pearl Muenchow, and Eleanor Schwarze; brothers: Oscar Schwartz, Ervin Gietzel, Merlin Gietzel and Hilbert Gietzel, sisters-in-law: Marion Schwartz, Evelyn, Lee, Leona, Carol and Shirlee Gietzel and brother-in-laws, A. Jack Mericer and Glen Muenchow.
