Matilda Angeline Donaho married John Seton Knutson in Walker County, Texas on November 4, 1852. To this marriage was born William Calvin, James Monroe, Thomas Jefferson, and Sara Adelaide Knutson while they resided on Tarkington Prairie in Liberty County.
Additional children were born while this family lived in various other counties in Texas. We believe Hannah E. and Louisa Aribelle Knutson were born in Henderson County; while John D. was born in Brown County, Texas. The family must have been in Navarro County when the last two daughters, Martha A. and Abia M. were born.
The 1870 census shows this family in Springhill, Navarro County, Texas
At this point in time,(1870) the youngest child on the census was 2-year-old Abia M. indicating that Matilda Angeline Knutson had died sometime between this child's birth and July of 1870 when the Census was taken.
We really do not know the exact place of her death, but I have chosen this cemetery in Navarro County for this memorial site.
