Mrs. Pettay was a lifelong resident of Zanesville. She was a member of the Central Trinity Methodist church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Emma Church, of Zanesville, Rt 5; one son, David Lloyd of 423 Hamline avenue; two sisters, Mrs. Delia Jones of 1387 Stone street, and Mrs. Elizabeth Quigley of Gattrell street; one brother, James L. Smith of Swingle street; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband, Charles, died Dec. 1, 1949. A brother, Herbert W. Smith, died Aug. 24.
The body was removed to the Dean funeral home where services will be held at 1 o'clock Monday with Rev. L.A. Schreiber officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood.
