Dr. Fioranelli had been in his present post at Baptist East since the hospital opened in 1979 and was a senior associate of Mid South Radiologists.
He was a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology, a fellow of the American College of Radiology, and a member of the Radiologic Society of North America and the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine. He was a member of The Memphis & Shelby County Medical Society, the Tennessee and American Medical Associations and the Memphis Mid-South Journal Club.
A native of Shaw, MS, he received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He had been an Air Force flight surgeon and was a graduate of the Aerospace Medicine School in San Antonio. He did his radiology residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and his undergraduate work at Christian Brothers College and the University of Mississippi.
He leaves his wife, Margaret E. Fioranelli; three daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Fortney of La Jolla, CA, Mrs. Lynne Delgado of Memphis and Ms. Loren Fioranelli of the home; three sons; John Fioranelli of Memphis, Lee Arnold Fioranelli of Olive Branch, MS and Jeff A Fioranelli of the home; his mother, Mrs. Lena Fioranelli, and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Love and Mrs. Ginger Duncan, all of Greenville, MS; four brothers, Butch Fioranelli of Natchez, MS, Frank Fioranelli, Mike Fioranelli, and Julius Fioranelli, all of Greenville, and two grandchildren.
